What is eDPI?

Effective DPI combines your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity. It makes it easier to compare settings among players using different mouse DPI values in the same game.

eDPI = mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity

A simple example

800 DPI × 0.35 sensitivity = 280 eDPI. In the same game, 400 DPI × 0.70 also gives 280 eDPI. With the same input behavior, these settings produce comparable turning distance.

Is there a best eDPI?

There is no single number that suits everyone. Your available mouse space, comfort and play style matter. Use eDPI as a reference for your own adjustments.

Can I compare eDPI between games?

Games have different sensitivity scales. Use the sensitivity converter or cm/360 calculator to compare physical movement across supported games.

Does higher DPI always mean faster aiming?

Only if sensitivity stays fixed. You can increase DPI and decrease sensitivity to maintain the same eDPI.
